ZIPPITY ZOO

Enrich your student's vocabulary with an interactive story and fun learning activities. Children meet a puppet and a live animal in all five (5) of our different 30-minute programs. Choose from the following exciting programs

Zoo Topics* (at the Zoo or at your site):

  • Bug What's the difference between a beetle and a butterfly? From tarantulas to scorpions, students will explore a bug's life and all of the not-so-creepy crawly characteristics of bugs.
  • Chicken Your class can build vocabulary skills as they follow Rosie the hen in her walk over, under, around and through the farm during this fun program about chickens.
  • Turtle Dig like a turtle and buzz like a bee! Your class will apply their counting skills while they learn about the many animals that make their home in a meadow.
  • Rabbit Who hops? Who flies? Students learn all about rabbits while practicing their gross motor skills in an exciting animal movements activity.
  • Hedgehog Is it a spiny chestnut or a hedgehog? Students will learn about prickly things and camouflage as they follow a hedgehog through the forest in search of his family.

Aquarium Topics* (at the Aquarium or at your site):

  • Hermit Crab Your students will see what it's like to be a hermit crab in search of the perfect home. You'll meet and touch a live hermit crab and his friends.

*Program availability dependent on animals on hand.
